To further encourage all attendees we have a wonderful speaker who is going to open the discussion for us:
Our topic for discussion is: “What are the alternatives to Democracy?”
Dr David Van Mill, a lecturer at UWA in political sciences and international relations will give us an introduction to the topic.
Dr Van Mill has published two books, Deliberation, Social Choice and Absolutist Democracy, London, Routledge (2006) and Liberty, Rationality, and Agency in Hobbes’s Leviathan, United States of America, State University of New York Press (2001).
Dr Mill share his perspective on Democracy and its possible alternatives with us (after which, we can argue with him!)
